Sardar Mofakham Mirror House

Mofakhm Mirror House is one of the most important and historical buildings in the country, which is located in the city of Bojnourd in North Khorasan Province. The Mofakhm building is known as a magnificent building that is several years old.

This mansion and the buildings of the mirror house, the pergola, the pool house and the entrance are located in a large garden that forms the complex of the Dar al-Hukumeh of Mofakhm. This complex, after the severe earthquake in Bojnourd, only includes the mirror house and the Mofakhm mansion.Mofakhm Mirror House mansion is registered in the list of historical monuments with number 952.

Mofakhm Mirror House has 34 rooms with 2 large halls. The main facade of this building is decorated with various types of mosaic tiles, Maqeli (bannai script), seven colors and with human, animal, Islamic, Khatai and geometric designs and motifs. Each floor of this mansion has two north and south porches. In front of each of these porches, a row of columns has been created to support the roof. The rooms of this building open with 21 wooden doors on the porches. There are two stairs on the east and west sides of this mansion, which are connected to the second floor with 18 steps.In the exterior of the Mofakham Mirror House, there are images of two winged angels, human figures, paintings of flowers and plants and birds, nature and geometric designs.Pictures of 134 prominent people from the Safavid era to the Qajar period, including Shah Tahmasb, Shah Abbas, Agha Mohammad Khan, Fath Ali Shah and Karim Khan Zand, etc., have been painted on the walls of this building.In 1941, this complex was given to the health department by Sardar Mofakhm's heir as a hospital. In September 1991, the Bojnourd Cultural Heritage Office introduced this mansion as an anthropological museum of Bojnourd city after making changes and repairs. In different booths of this anthropological museum in North Khorasan province, you will get acquainted with the rural life of different ethnicities. For example, the clothing booth displays local clothes of Turks, Turkmen, Tat and Kermanj. Pavilions of maqami music, traditional medicine, embroidery, handicrafts, traditional textiles, financial felt, ritual tablecloths are also part of the Anthropological Museum.Mofakhm Mirror House is one of the beautiful tourist attractions that must be visited by tourists in North Khorasan's tour.
