It is difficult to determine the exact time of this village construction and its first inhabitants; however, some researchers, by discovering some artifacts belonging to ancient Iran, estimate the age of Kandelous Village between 3500 and 4000 years,. According to the local people of the village and the reports of historians, the village of Kandelous has always been inhabited, and even Kamal al-Mulk, the famous painter of Naser al-Din Shah Qajar, also visited it; moreover, it is interesting to know that he also painted a picture of the village.

The Architecture of the Village

Local people are trying to preserve the traditional texture; old houses with gabled roofs, cobblestone streets, small wooden windows and yards full of trees will surprise travelers.

How to Get to Kandelous Village?

To go to Kandelous, you have to drive through the Chalos road and enter the 42 km side road of Kandelous Village, 5 km after Marzan Abad. If you go from Tehran to the village, your total distance is 220 km. But surely the whole route will be full of eye-pleasing natural scenery.
