Qazvin Kushk Gate

Qazvin Kushk Gate, also known as Darbe Kushk Gate, is one of the oldest gates in Qazvin province. This gate opened to Rudbar, the present Alamut and the gates of Qazvin.

This gate is located at the end of Azadi (Naderi) street in Qazvin and belongs to the year 1879. Qazvin city in the middle of the third century AH had 7 gates that made it possible to enter the city. During Qajar period, there were 9 gates around Qazvin that joined each other with a fence around the city and are: Rah (door) of the pavilion, Panbe Rise, Sheikhabad, Rasht, Mugholavak, Khandaghbar, Shazde Hussein, Mosalla and Tehran. Only two gates of Tehran and Rah Kushk have remained now fom those Magnificent buildings and the rest were destroyed due to street making and lack of attention over time. The entrance of Qazvin Kushk Gate has a corridor that has been built on both sides of the arch and has doubled its beauty and appearance. These arches extend to the irons and evoke the feeling of being embraced by the entrants. It can be said that Qazvin Kushk Gate has only a very beautiful view to the outside, which is decorated with tiles and formalities. It should also be noted that the body facing inwards is covered with simple bricks. The tiles of this gate and the spectacular building of Qazvin city were done during the reign of Azdolmalek Qajar. The historical Qazvin Kushk Gate is a treasure that has been damaged today. The sewage of the houses around this building causes the weakness of this building.
