This bridge was built during the peak period of Safavid architecture and almost with a little time gap from the Si-o-Se Pol and the Khajoo Bridge. This bridge connects the aristocratic part of Ardabil to the central part of the city. Because it has 7 entrances or water passages, it is called Haft Cheshmeh (seven springs). With the construction of the bridge, the distance between some important points of the city has been shortened. Due to the old age of the bridge and its centrality, it was the gathering place of protesters during the protests of the constitutional revolutions and the Islamic revolution. Today, this bridge is considered one of the important tourist spots of Ardabil city.
