North Khorasn Sheikh Azari tomb

The tomb of Sheikh Azari in North Khorasan Province is located one kilometer from the city of Belqis, south of Esfarayen. Fakhreddin Hamza bin Ali Malek bin Hassan Esfarayeni was born in December (Azar) 1382 in Esfarayen.

He was called Azeri because of the month of his birth. He was a Persian historian, mystic and Iranian Shiite poet. He composed poetry from a young age.
He was an isolated person, but at the same time he was associated with famous people such as Algha Beig Mirza, Baysanghar Mirza and Aladdin Homayoun. He also died in Israfin in 1481 and was buried in the same place, Israfin. In 1989, the tomb of Sheikh Azari was robbed by thieves and many of it was stolen, but after a while during the conference, it was rebuilt by two cultural heritage organizations and the Handicrafts and Tourism Organization.
This building has been registered in national monuments. The construction of this structure is made of two architectural spaces with two different dimensions. In the southern part of the tomb of Sheikh Azari, you can see a flat roof that is used as a prayer hall. Also, the grave and tomb of the sheikh, which is located in the northern part of the building, is a square room with an area of 41 square meters. The interior walls of this section are covered with the local color of this area, namely red plaster.
The construction of this tomb is made of raw clay and its roof is made of wood. The tomb of Sheikh is about 80 cm higher than the ground and has mosaics decorations. The tomb of Sheikh Azari Beyhaqi Esfarayeni is one of the attractions of North Khorasan.
