The results of archaeologists in Iran have shown that the western parts of this country have been one of the oldest areas of human existence since long ago. These studies estimate the age of the presence of civilized mankind to 5 thousand years BC.

Fortunately, many Historical crafts of ancient times have been left so that the social life of the people of previous millennia can be closely touched. Today, these objects are displayed in the museum that we intend to introduce. Sanandaj Museum (the center of Kurdistan Province), which is known by different names, is the place we are looking for.

History of Sanandaj Museum and its secrets:

Sanandaj Museum has a strange history; At the end of the reign of Naser al-Din Shah Qajar, the Chief judge of Sanandaj city built a luxurious and large mansion for himself. After his death, the house was sold equally to two different families named Habibi and Salar Saeed.Salar Saeed's family before the Islamic revolution and Habibi's family after it, handed over their mansions to the government to turn this place into a museum. Today, this museum is known as Sanandaj, Habibi Mansion and Salar Saeed Mansion.

What do you know about the architecture of Sanandaj Museum?

Sanandaj Museum is a building completely based on the principles of authentic Iranian architecture, which has an area of several hundred meters and has a gabled roof. In the large courtyard in front of the mansion, a large pond with several fountains which cools the surrounding space. The skill of the architects and the main surprise is in the basement of the building and it has a round basin with a vaulted ceiling, which has been decorated in the most beautiful shape. The main view includes two large doors on the left and right sides of the building with two beautiful windows on top of each, and also 7 large sash windows with very beautiful colored gingeres.

Objects inside the museum:

The main and important part of this museum is related to finds from ancient era, which include cooking utensils, jewelry, agricultural and hunting tools, sewing needles, pins, etc. Many of these objects are unique in their kind in the world.In the section related to the Islamic era, all kinds of sculptures and glazed dishes and ornamental (golden) objects decorated with unique lines have been displayed.
