Regional Museum of Southeast Iran

Iran always has sights that will surprise you. Even if you spend your whole life visiting Iran, you still won't be able to visit all the attractions of this country.

One of those extraordinary sights that is very modern is the Regional Museum of Southeast Iran or the Great Museum of Zahedan located in Sistan and Baluchistan province, which is one of the largest museums in Iran and the Middle East.

Now it's time to travel to the southeast of Iran.

There is so much to say about this museum that it cannot be covered in one article. Rather, you can understand its wonders only by seeing it closely. This structure was built in 2011 with an area of 1.5  hectares and 5  floors.The general plan of the building has been designed to resemble one of the historical castles of this region. Of course, this structure is not just a museum, but a building with all kinds of special objects and entertainment so that tourists can spend all their time in the museum without leaving. Each floor is dedicated to a topic. Including: environmental, historical, archaeological, anthropological, cultural and artistic. but this is not the whole story. This white modern giant has a taxidermy section, an aquarium and a beautiful and complete library, a cafe and a restaurant and a children's rest area, which completes the amenities of the complex.

How to get to the museum?

To see this unique building, you have to go to the southernmost and easternmost province of Iran on the border of Pakistan, which is Sistan and Baluchistan. The museum is located in the central part of Zahedan city (province capital).

Zahedan Great Museum displays the entire history of eastern Iran in front of your eyes. A place you must visit once in your life.
