Bandar Kong
Hormozgan Bandar Kong or in fact the city of Bandar Kong is a historical and very beautiful Iranian port located in Hormozgan province. This port is located 5 km from Bandar Lengeh city and is known as one of the oldest ports in Iran.

In ancient times, there were 30 large ships in Bandar Kong, with which prominent Kong sailors had long voyages. Through these ships, sailors took products such as dates, nutmeg, cloth, tea, etc. to India and Basra, or from there to Kong. Sometimes these ships anchored in an area called "Kuran" at the top of Qeshm Island, and after a while they stopped and rested they continued their voyage, and sometimes they went there to repair their ships. In ancient times, the city of Kong was one of the most important centers of the Portuguese government. At a time when the Portuguese were in control of the Persian Gulf and the region, they built an anchorage in Kong where their large ships anchored, as well as a large castle that was the seat of their gporovernment, the remains of which exist by the sea. his castle is left by the sea. When the sea’s water flow, water surrounds the remains of the castle, but when the sea is ebb tide, a large part of the castle appears, known to the Kong people as the Portuguese castle. Merchants in the port of Kong also built houses for themselves, most of which were made of stone and plaster, and there were windbreaks on top of them.
